2021 is starting off with a whole host of new public health restrictions for a lot of us in here in Canada (and around the world) so how on earth do you kick start creative inspiration when you're looking at the same walls every day? In Episode 43 of the podcast I’m sharing some of my favourite sources of inspiration right now! (Episode 41 and 42 were replay episodes over the holidays in case you were wondering what happened to them!)
A big part of how I refill my creative well has always been travel or fresh surroundings. I need a lot of visual stimulation to keep me creatively inspired and now that we’re in the depths of winter and the cheerful and colourful holiday season is over, I’m stuck - like many of you are - looking at the same walls and the same grey and rainy view outside my window. My walks with the dog every day (even in monsoons!) get us some much needed outdoor exercise - which is an absolute must here on the west coast where we rarely see sunshine between November and March. But everything is varying shades of grey and dark forest green.
And I know I’m not alone. In fact I’m lucky that it’s warm enough to go outside for long periods where I live. But I need a little more to keep the creative juices flowing.
So in this rare, solo episode, I’m sharing some of the things that have kickstarted my creative inspiration over the holidays into the new year without being able to venturE out to new surroundings. I thought I would share some of them with you!
